  29. after extensive discussions with smithmicro it now
  30. appears that there is a problem with
  31. Motorola modems and Error Correction Mode (ECM).
  32. There will be a new version of the QuickLink II
  33. out soon. Not sure what the upgrade price
  34. will be.

  42. my apologies for this cheap shot, it was made
  43. in utter frustration at the problems
  44. I was having and the lack of response 
  45. from Motorola ISG support in the US.!

  52. Just out of interest I asked one of
  53. the leading suppliers of fax sw 
  54. when they are going to do a motorola
  55. version and the comment was:
  56. " Oh Motorola, hell they are right
  57. out there in left field all by themselves,
  58. they really decided to be different"
